Emergency Information

Is your pet in need of emergency medical care? Call us for immediate assistance. If your pet requires a service or specific care that we are unable to provide, we will refer you to the appropriate emergency hospital.

What is considered an emergency?

Severe bleeding or bleeding that does not stop after five minutes
Bleeding from nose, mouth, rectum, coughing up blood, or blood in urine
Choking or difficulty breathing
Inability to urinate or defecate
Injury or trauma to the eye or the eye is cloudy
Ingestion of a toxic substance
Multiple or prolonged seizures or staggering
Fractured bones

Inability to move legs or becomes paralyzed
Obvious signs of extreme pain or anxiety
Becomes disoriented
Heatstroke
Unconsciousness or non-responsive
Hit by a car or other traumatic accident
Swollen, painful, or bloated abdomen
Animal attack/bite
Prolonged diarrhea or vomiting

After-Hours Pet Emergencies

If an emergency occurs during business hours, please call us immediately so that we can assess the situation and recommend the best course of action for your pet.

If the emergency occurs outside of business hours, please contact an emergency clinic near you. Some clinics may be busier than others so it is always good to call ahead.
